I hope everyone has had another great week :) I didn't buy any books this week, but I did get a few for review that I am excited it about.
Don't forget to leave your haul links, I'd love to check them out or your blogs!
Mom Bought + School Book
Okay, so mom continues to amazing me. She killed both the Hush, Hush and the Chemical Garden series in about a week in a half. She has now started raiding my shelves. I've finished both series, but didn't have the last book to either of the series. So she went and bought Sever and Finale just so she could finish them. What?.. Well, now my series are complete on the shelf! lol She has now stolen Delirium, Pandemonium, The Immortal Rules, Eve and Unwind off my shelf and plans to read them. I haven't even read Eve and Unwind yet. *sigh* I guess she's getting more into the 'YA genre' since she typically just reads adult romances.
The Goal is a book that I have to read in my Strategic Management class. I haven't had to read a book for a class in a long time. But I hear it's a pretty interesting book though.
I Bought
My mom borrows my books too but I want her to get a kindle on my account so we can share that way because she is hard on paper books. They come back all creased and wrinkled. I also got Avalon. Been excited for it for a long time! Sever and Finale were good! I thought they ended nicely.
ReplyDeleteMy Stack
lol She's the same way! She has actual ruin like two of my books (hardbacks) through water damage. The frustrations!
DeleteI love that your mom is into YA! Amazing! :-) Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks :) It's been slowly happening over the years :) It started with Twilight I think lol She read Twilight, but refuses HP. I don't understand lol
DeleteMy dad is nearly 62 and he reads all my YA books! He loves the Morganville Vampires, The Drake Chronicles, Demon Trappers and stuff like that. Age is no barrier to YA books! Enjoy your reading!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome :) I've only read par of the Morganville Vampire series and I really wan to check out the Demon Trappers one :)
DeleteHaha! That's kind of funny! I have a feeling I will be that kind of adult in some many years. I am already in my 20s and still loving all the paranormal YA. It wasn't there when I was a teenager even 10 years ago! I used to go to Borders--because they were my go to store back then! I miss them too!--and spend hours scanning the YA shelves trying to find a paranormal read! Back then, there wasn't a section devoted to paranormal YA!
ReplyDeleteMy how times have changed! I think I read an equal amount of YA and adult now!
Great haul though! At least this way you're getting your series completed! ;) Happy Reading!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
We never had a borders where I love, I think. It was jus B&N and Books a Million. Even though I've rad both Sever and Finale, I didn't have them on my shelves, so now I do :)
DeleteI have Finale too! It's still sitting in my tbr pile right now :) Enjoy your books this week!
ReplyDeleteFinale was okay. It wasn't as good as it could have been, but it was still enjoyable :) I hope you like it!
DeleteI have come across Avalon but not heard of the others. Enjoy your reads and thank you for visiting me today :)
ReplyDeleteI actually was not a fan of Finale - I thought it was kind of boring, and it wasn't the conclusion I was hoping for. I see that in the comments, you thought so as well. But, the series was pretty good! I liked Hush, Hush the most.
ReplyDeleteI loved Avalon! It's definitely one of my favorite YA science fiction reads. And the cover is so pretty! Love it :D
Have a wonderful weekend!
Check out my STS post!
I haven't read a lot of good reviews about Avalon but I hope you'll like it. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteSeems Avalon is pretty popular this week. I haven't gotten around to reading or getting it yet. Awesome haul and thanks for stopping by my haul this week.

Yes super excited that you got Avalon, I hope you enjoy it! I know I did :)
ReplyDeletehaha my mom wont touch my books. LOL
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Avalon :)
that's hilarious about your mom, but yay for getting free books out of it! My mom likes to read but not a lot. I don't think she'd be a fan of most of my YA.
ReplyDeleteI have heard good things about Avalon so far. I am going to read it soon.
ReplyDeleteThat is great that you both read the same books and can save money that way! My mom reads mainly Amish fiction, so we really do not connect there. :) Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteawwww so awesome that your mom reads YA. then you can buddy read together. i wish my mom reads YA. instead she reads romance novels written in tagalog, which i can't read. sigh.
ReplyDeleteawesome haul! happy reading :)
hope you can stop by my StS Post.

At my house, it's the opposite, I buy lots of YA books, and I try to get my oldest daughter to read them. She's not as voracious a reader as I am, though, but she has started to read more, and she thinks the books I push on her are good :) I hope she'll continue to read more, so I'll have someone in real life to discuss them with - even if other bloggers help me out when I am bursting at the seams with excitement over a story.
ReplyDeleteGreat haul - and it's even better that even the book you have to read for school seems so interesting :)
Have a fantastic Sunday.
