Top Ten Tuesday (25): Top Ten Popular Authors I've Never Read

Hosted by: the Broke and Bookish

This Week's Topic: Top Ten Popular Authors I've Never Read
I don't know if all of these authors are considered 'popular'.
(In No Particular Order!)

1. John Green - I've read Will Grayson, Will Gray but I haven't read a book that was just written by him. I have TFiOS, Paper Towns, and Looking For Alaska on my shelf and haven't read any of them.

2. Stephanie Perkins

3. Colleen Hoover

4. Patricia Briggs - I've been wanting to read her books for quite a few years now

5. Stephen King

6. Jennifer Echols

7. Patrick Ness - I have the Knife of Never Letting Go, but have yet read it.

8. J.R.R Tolkien - haven't seen any of the books or movies

9.  George R.R. Martin

10. Scott Westerfield

I know I've forgotten some authors, but these are the ones off the top of my head.

  1. Great list! I've read books by seven of the authors on your list but nothing by Stephanie Perkins (also on my list), Colleen Hoover or Jennifer Echols. This will sound awful but I don't think I could actually name a book written by Echols and Colleen Hoover just doesn't appeal to me unfortunately :(

    1. I really want to read Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. I can't really think of one by Echols though. But I've heard a lot of about her books

  2. I only read Ness and Marting off this list, and I love both. I also read The Hobbit which was amazing. I have yet to read LotR and the rest of the authors...
    Happy reading

  7. Colleen Hoover and Stephanie Perkins? *gasps* That's a crime, Janina! I hope you'll get to them soon:) Patricia Briggs is someone I know Rachel from The Reader's Den really loves. Jennifer Echols--totally forgot her novels, but they're high on my tbr. Nr 7-10 aren't really authors whose books I'd enjoy, because idk.. they seem boring to me, but I might be entirely wrong. The movies based on Lord of the Rings books and Hobbit are some of my favorites so perhaps I should try them, though I heard that they have so much description in them. Such a great list, Janina:)

    1. lol I'm sorry! I didn't mean to commit a crime :) I added 7-10 because they're very popular, but the only one I would probably give a try is Westerfield.

  8. I haven't read a lot of these either! I've read Misery by Stephen King and the Hobbit by Tolkien, but that's it from them.

  9. There is a mix of authors that I have read and loved and those that I haven't read. Some of them are specific and I'm not sure how much you'd enjoy Tolkinen. His books are amazing but they take time, not only to read but process as well. But I'm sure you'll enjoy Stephanie. She is someone whose books you'll love. Great picks, Janina :)

  11. I have not read some of these either. I loved Lord of The Rings movies but to be honest I just couldn't finish reading those books ;/ as for others, there are authors that I shamefully admit have never heard of.
