There's nowhere left to hide.
I thought vampires were our enemies - they controlled our lives, isolated our cities, and demanded our blood - until I met Victor. With Victor taking over as the new Lord Valentine, things were supposed to get better. Instead, they're worse than ever.
Day Walkers, a new breed of vampires who can walk in the sun, are terrorizing the city. Blood supplies are low, and if Victor's vampires don't get enough, they will become infected with the Thirst - a disease that will turn them into mindless killers.
To stop it, I must journey across the desolate wasteland to the very place where the sickness began. I can only hope that the answers that await me are enough to save us all... before it's too late.
I've been struggling on whether or not to rate this 3 stars or 4 stars, but I think I'm going to settle in at 3.5 stars. I don't know what it was about this installment, but it took me a while to get into. I think it had something to do with my not being in a reading mood, more so than it was the actual book. But overall I did enjoy the book and thought it had some great moments :) I receive a finished copy for review from the author/publicist. All thoughts are my honest opinion!
Like I said before, it took me awhile to get into this book. I don't know why though. And I was also one of the ones who received a copy where the pages where out of order (which sucked), but by the time I received this in the mail the book was published. I ended up just getting Kindle book (which was fine). So yeah, that was a headache all in itself.
Now on to the story...
I thought Blood-Kissed Sky was a pretty good sequel. Sometimes, I felt as though it was a little slow paced, but there was tons of action :) I really like how in this book we got to see a different location and how different cities were. The characters take a trip to Los Angeles and let me tell you, things really got shook up! And of course, in this book we have Dawn, Michael and Tegan plus a few more. Dawn was okay, but she tended to annoy me at times. She has an overprotective way to where she wants to keep everyone safe, but jumps face first into danger by herself. And Michael was little bit better in this book. He didn't annoy me quite as much. And did I see and spark of attraction between Tegan and Michael?! lol I hope so because I am so Team Victor, which leads me to...Where the heck was he in this installment? I mean, he was there, sometimes, but not enough for my liking. He's like my favorite character!
Sin. Sin loves to bring all the drama and boy did he in this installment. Towards the end we find out SO MUCH about what he has planned and it's nothing pretty! He is truly psycho :) And the book ended way too quick. I don't think that was a good place to just cut off.
I can't wait to read book 3! :)
I still need to read the first, but good to know there is a decent sequel. Maybe the next will blow you away :)

I haven't started this series yet, but it does sound interesting. I really like the sound of the plot so I will definitely be reading this, hopefully this summer! Glad this was a decent read for you!
