Going into this book, we meet a girl named Emma who recently was the only survivor of an accident that killed both her Mother and Father. She wakes up in the hospital and finds out she has this long lost aunt and is to be shipped the next day to Alaska to live with this aunt she didn't even know she had. Right away I was curious of all the things that were to come. So many secrets went on in this book that kept me intrigued in the story.
As her family's sole survivor in a car crash, she is left with a broken arm and a few scrapes and bruises. But these are only outward marks; inside, her heart is broken and the pieces scattered.
