She's a mortal with dark powers...
After a tragic accident scarred her body and destroyed her dreams, Leila never imagined that the worst was still to come: terrifying powers that let her channel electricity and learn a person's darkest secrets through a single touch. Leila is doomed to a life of solitude...until creatures of the night kidnap her, forcing her to reach out with a telepathic distress call to the world's most infamous vampire...
He's the Prince of Night...
Vlad Tepesh inspired the greatest vampire legend of all—but whatever you do, don't call him Dracula. Vlad's ability to control fire makes him one of the most feared vampires in existence, but his enemies have found a new weapon against him—a beautiful mortal with powers to match his own. When Vlad and Leila meet, however, passion ignites between them, threatening to consume them both. It will take everything that they are to stop an enemy intent on bringing them down in flames.

This is the first book that I have read by Jeaniene Frost, and I think it's a spin off so maybe I should read the other series?! But anyways, I absolutely loved this book! At first I was like, 'Dracula?! Ha!', but then the book continued to amaze me :) I am dying for the release of book 2.

The thing I liked most of this book was, of course, Vlad! Just swoon worthy. The man was to die for. Every characteristic from his past, to his attitude, to his smile, to his bad ass authority makes him the perfect character. All I wanted to do when reading this book was find out more and more about Vlad. I really loved the fact that he was pretty much consistent in the way he acted. He wasn't this loving vamp in one section of the book and then a killer in another. He was pretty much bad ass throughout the entire book! He was so enticing :) I also liked Leila too. She was an awesome female heroine and I thought her abilities was something really creative from the author. Even though the characteristic have been seen before, the way the author uses them in this book was different, which is a plus.

I seriously could not put this book down. The romance had me loving the characters and the action kept me turning the pages. I just couldn't get enough. The romance between Vlad and Leila turned up the heat! And doesn't love suspense action?

Overall, I thought the book was amazing! From the beginning to the end, I loved every moment of it. I can't wait for the next installment and I will definitely be checking out the Night Huntress series! I highly recommend the book if you love this genre.
