Series Review - The Riley Jenson Guardian Series by Keri Arthur

Synopsis of Book One - Full Moon Rising
A rare hybrid of vampire and werewolf, Riley Jenson and her twin brother, Rhoan, work for Melbourne’s Directorate of Other Races, an organization created to police the supernatural races–and protect humans from their depredations. While Rhoan is an exalted guardian, a.k.a. assassin, Riley is merely an office worker–until her brother goes missing on one of his missions. The timing couldn’t be worse. More werewolf than vampire, Riley is vulnerable to the moon heat, the weeklong period before the full moon, when her need to mate becomes all-consuming.
Luckily Riley has two willing partners to satisfy her every need. But she will have to control her urges if she’s going to find her brother….Easier said than done as the city pulses with frenzied desire, and Riley is confronted with a very powerful–and delectably naked–vamp who raises her temperature like never before.
In matters carnal, Riley has met her match. But in matters criminal, she must follow her instincts not only to find her brother but to stop an unholy harvest. For someone is doing some shifty cloning in an attempt to produce the ultimate warrior–by tapping into the genome of nonhumans like Rhoan. Now Riley knows just how dangerous the world is for her kind–and just how much it needs her.

This is one of my favorite adult series that got me into the whole Paranormal Genre, you beside the Black Dagger Brotherhood series :). Each book has romance, action, and everything wrapped up in one which is why I love it so much.

Wishlist Wednesday (1): Deity by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.
Hosted by: Pen to Paper
"History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time. "Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday--to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden.
If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training"--which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.
But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed.
Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...

I chose Deity because I love Jennifer L. Armentrout's writing style and I adore this series :) This and the Lux series is amazing!!! I can't wait to find out what happens in Deity because Pure was awesome and left off in a place where I need to find out what happens next. I highly recommend this series.

Daimon by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Daimon
(Covenant, #0.5)
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Released |May 10th 2011 by Spencer Hill Press|
Edition |Ebook|
For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals—pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards... and that she'll never be prepared for that duty. According to her mother, that’s a good thing. But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return—the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death… because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once trained to kill. The daimons have found her.

In this short prequel to Half-Blood, you get to see what happened leading up to and after the death of Alex's mother.
I am so happy I got this, because I was going to skip reading this all together, but it was nice to know what Alex went through before and what she went through after when she was on the run.

Midnight Alley by Rachel Caine

Midnight Alley
(Morganville Vampires, #3)
by Rachel Caine
Released |October 2nd 2007 by Signet|
Edition |Audio Book|
Source |Library|
Morganville is such a nice place to live... And die. If you don’t mind that sort of thing.
When Claire Danvers learnt that her college town was run by vampires, she did what any intelligent, self-preserving student would do: she applied for a transfer and stocked up on garlic. The transfer is no longer an option, but that garlic may come in handy.
Now Claire has pledged herself to Amelie, the most powerful vampire in town. The protection her contract secures does little to reassure her friends. All of a sudden, people are turning up dead, a stalker resurfaces from Claire’s past, and an ancient bloodsucker extends a chilling invitation for private lessons in his secluded home.

This is the third installment in the Morganville Vampire series and this series does nothing but get better and better. Each story is filled with adventure and action that keeps you wanting to continue to the next book!

Books that I can't remember, but liked....

Hey everyone,
This little tidbit is about books that I can't remember anything about, but I know that I liked them.
Lol I know that's crazy, but...I just can't remember anything about them.
I'm going to have to reread all these books because I really want to remember why I liked them.
If anyone has read any of these, tell me what you thought about them.

  • Deadly Little Secrets by Laurie Fairia Stolars - I think I actually read up to like book 2 or 3, but I don't know anything and I can't remember...I know it had something to do with "she has a deadly touch, but she can touch him" lol or something like that.
  • Glimmerglass by Jenna Black - All I know is it that it was about fairies and had something to do with a glimmerglass portal and she can cross into both sides.
  • Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr - All I know is, fairies.
  • Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber - Vampires, uh and it had a lot of cliches.
  • Moonlight by Rachel Hawthorne - I read all the books in this series and I loved em, but I can't remember. It's about shifters and you know I love shifters :)
  • Evernight by Claudia Gray - It was good, but I keep getting flashes of a guy runner through the woods. IDK and a bus ride I think. I think I read book one and somehow skipped 2 and read 3. Yeah, so...

Spotlight - Kimani Romance

Hey everyone,
I am here to tell you a little bit about my obsession with Kimani Romance novels :)
I don't know what it is about these novels that I love so much, but I just...LOVE them!
Maybe it's because their so small and easy to read. They're a very quick read and a lot of them have some great suspense.
This is just  a small portion of my little collection and there are a lot more where that came from.

Yeah...I think that's around forty lol But like I said, there are a lot more where these come from. Plus, they're really inexpensive :) Less than $5, which is always a plus. I've been contemplating whether to start reviewing these on the blog. Not regularly but maybe two a month. As a spotlight romance section of the blog. Still contemplating though.

I just thought I'd share these with you guys. I just love these and it's a part of reading that I don't do on the blog. So, now you guys know a little bit more about what I like to read besides YA :) I always love a good romance, but I also like my romance to have some kind of suspenseful drama to it.

Some of my fave romance authors:
Brenda Jackson
Rochelle Alers
Adrianne Byrd

Hey Everyone :)
Here for the cover reveal of Blood Doll by Georgia Cates.

Solomon Alexander has faced huge obstacles during his existence, but they’re nothing in comparison to the one he’s about to hit head on. As leader of The Savannah Compound, part of Sol’s new position in the Coven of Landra is to guide the transition of fledgelings, newly turned vampires. It’s his job to save the unsavable. Being a Landra is what he’s done for over a century and he’s damn good at it, but everything he knows, practices and teaches is threatened when he is forced to drink from Avery Ferrand, a Blood Jewel.  The Blood Jewel is enshrouded with mystery, but one fact is known. There’s never been blood more desirable or addicting than Avery’s and there are consequences for any vampire that drinks it...including Solomon Alexander. Although he adamantly denies his need to feed from her, Avery suspects he’s lying but she has secrets of her own about the night he drank from her. She wanted him to and now she finds herself being drawn to Solomon in a way she shouldn't. As Avery’s desire to be closer to Solomon grows, she finds herself considering something more dangerous than being found by the dangerous covens hunting her...asking Solomon if she can become his Blood Doll.

The Dead Girls' Dance by Rachel Caine

The Dead Girls' Dance
(Morganville Vampires, #2)
by Rachel Caine
Released |April 3rd 2007 by NAL Jam|
Edition |Ebook|
Claire Danvers has her share of challenges---like being a genius in a school that favors beauty over brains, dealing with the homicidal girls in her dorm, and above all, finding out that her college town is overrun with vampires. On the up side, she has a great roommate (who tends to disappear at sunup) and a new boyfriend named Shane, whose vampire-hunting dad has called in backup: cycle punks who like the idea of killing just about anything.
Now a fraternity is throwing its annual Dead Girls' Dance and---surprise!---Claire and her equally outcast best friend, Eve, have been invited. When they find out why, all hell is going to break loose. Because this time both the living and the dead are coming out---and everybody's hungry for blood.

This series is really surprising me! I will definitely continue this series to see what continues to happens with the four friends; Claire, Eve, Michael, and Shane. This series is fast paced and with lots of action that keeps you entertained page after page!

Musing Monday (8/20)

Have you ever reread a book and found that your opinion changed? Hosted by:The Broke and Bookish

No, I have never reread an found that my opinion has changed. If anything, my opinion of the book was still the same or was better the second time around. I either didn't like it the first time and I may hate it even more than I did before. Or it's one of fave books and I love it even more. When I say I've reread the BDB books by J.R.Ward like 8 times and still love them just as much as the first time, I mean it :)

Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Onyx
(Lux, #2)
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Released |August 14th 2012 by Entangled Teen|
Edition |Ebook|

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.
Something worse than the Arum has come to town…
The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…
I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?
No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

Daemon is just to DIE for :D I absolutely loved the sequel to Obsidian. This book was amazing and had so many different things that left my mouth gaping open, whether it was from the steamy hot romance between Katy and Daemon or the suspense and twists that happened in the story!

Cover Reveal - Beyond the Veil by Quinn Loftis

Hey everyone,
We are here with the cover reveal for Beyond the Veil by Quinn Loftis.
Hosted by: SupaGurl Tours

Author Bio
Quinn is a 32 year old wife, mother, nurse, and writer, not necessarily in that order.  She lives in beautiful North West Arkansas with her husband, son and Nora their Doberman pinscher. She loves writing, reading, and crocheting. Her favorite holiday is Christmas, favorite book(s) is Pride and Prejudice, The Alpha and Omega Series by Patricia Briggs, and the Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling. She loves to be silly and have fun, loves music and thinks there is no greater sound in the world than that of her little boy's laughter.

Though the Serbian pack has been brought to heel thanks to the downfall of their Alpha, the war is far from over.
Desdemona, a witch of unfathomable power, has escaped the wolves’ wrath, but she will not go quietly into the night. She takes refuge in a place where even the smallest sliver of light does not dare to enter. Though she had to flee, she has not given up on the treasure she wishes to acquire. Her depravity knows no bounds; she's even willing to search for the one who can assist her in opening a Veil that has not been opened in millennia – with good reason: the danger is incalculable.
Meanwhile, there are major changes rippling through the Romanian Grey wolves. Decebel has become Alpha to the Serbian pack in an effort to begin to unite the Canis lupis species. Their numbers are dwindling in the wake of the shortage of true mates and lack of offspring. The wolves are beginning to lose faith and darkness seems to be crashing in on them from all sides. But the winds of change are blowing, changes that will alter the future of not only the Canis lupis, but of another ancient race as well.
Amidst all of this, Sally is continuing to come to terms with her relationship with the playful, charming, flirty, unbelievably handsome bartender – who happens to be a member of the Romanian pack.
If all that weren’t enough, the Fates have decided to pay a little visit to Jen. It’s time to collect. She cheated the Fates of a life, her life. Now they want what they are due. The problem? It’s more than Jen is willing to pay.
Yes, the war is indeed far from over. Bargains will be struck, declarations will be made, sacrifices will be given, love will be tested, and trust will be questioned as evil makes its stand against them all.

Fearless by Brigid Kemmerer

Fealess
(Elemental, #1.5)
by Brigid Kemmerer
Released |July 31st by K Teen|
Edition |Ebook|

Being a force of nature doesn’t keep you safe. Hunter Garrity is used to watching his back. The kids at school sense something different about him. And they’re right.
Hunter has powers that have nothing to do with how hard he can throw a punch.

Maybe that’s what Clare Kasten is picking up. She’s shy, quiet, and intense, but she’s sought him out. There’s no telling what she wants from him.

But Hunter knows enough to sense a secret when it’s close. And getting close to Clare is a danger he’s ready to face…
I was super excited for the release of Fearless :) I wanted to know more about Hunter and this book really helped with some questions I needed to know. I have always been curious, but also skeptical of Hunter and now I see why he reacts the way he does at times.

Author Interview
1. Well to start off, Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Brigid KemmererSure! Here’s where I sound entirely pretentious and talk about myself in the third person: Brigid Kemmerer finds the time to write somewhere between caring for her family and working at her day job, but sometimes she ends up mothering her coworkers and managing her family. Storm: The Elemental Series is her first novel.

Basically, the only social life I have is on paper.

2. What made you decide to write a book dealing with the elements?
The first novel I wrote in high school was about four vampire brothers, named Michael, Nicholas, Gabriel, and Christopher. It was a silly story, but I still have most of it on paper. In my twenties, when I really began to take writing seriously, I wrote a few books but was unable to find a literary agent or a publisher. I couldn’t get those four brothers out of my head – but I didn’t want to do vampires again. I started tossing around ideas that would work with the number four. Four horsemen of the apocalypse. Four leaf clovers. Four, four, four. The four elements of earth, air, fire, and water seemed to work best—and I had a lot of ideas how I could make it fun. What teenagers wouldn’t want to be able to control the elements?

Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Pure
(Covenant, #2)
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Released |April 3rd 2012 by Spencer Hill Press|
Edition |Ebook|
There is need. And then there is Fate...
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her.
When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon... and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her.
When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

I really love this series and I loved this book! Ratings: 4.5 star - I don't know how Jennifer continues to wow me, but she does it with every single book of hers that I read.

Primal Possession by Katie Reus

Primal Possession
(Moon Shifters, #2)
by Katie Reus
Released |September 4th 2012 by Signet Eclipse|
Edition |E-ARC|
Source |Netgalley|
As his pack’s second-in-command, lupine shifter Liam Armstrong gives orders and takes what he wants—until he meets red-headed, blue-eyed December McIntyre. Liam knows the human beauty is his intended mate the moment he sees her, but December is far too strong-willed to accept his protection. December, whose brother is the town sheriff, has every reason to mistrust shifters after one killed her youngest sibling. But the forceful and handsome Liam has gotten under her skin in a way she hadn’t thought possible, and the desire she feels for him is almost too much to bear.
When a radical hate group targets all humans known to sympathize with paranormal beings, December is attacked in her bookstore. Reluctantly, she turns to the only one who can help her: Liam. And he is going to take her to places within herself she never knew existed.

I would like to thank, first off, Katie Reus and Brittany Gowen for the E-ARC of Primal Possession :) All thoughts are my own!  This was an amazing sequel!

Do you snack while you read?  If so, what is your favorite reading snack? Hosted By: Miz B over @ Broke and Bookish
I do snack when reading sometimes, but not always. Just light snacks, not a full course meal or anything like that. I don't a fave, but I tend to eat chips or maybe a poptart. Nothing too serious. What about you?

From the author of the popular Weather Warden series comes the debut of an exciting new series set in Morganville, Texas, where you would be well advised to avoid being out after dark.

Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Acheron
(Dark-Hunter Universe/Dark-Hunter #12)
by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Released |August 5th 2008 by St. Martin's Press|
Edition |Ebook|
The most anticipated story in the blockbuster Dark-Hunter series. The never-before-revealed story of the Dark-Hunter leader, Acheron.  He was made human in order to escape death, but in death he was reborn a god. . .  Eleven thousand years ago a god was born. Cursed into the body of a human, Acheron spent a lifetime of shame. However, his human death unleashed an unspeakable horror that almost destroyed the earth. Then, brought back against his will, Acheron became the sole defender of mankind.
Only it was never that simple.
For centuries, he has fought for our survival and hidden a past he’ll do anything to keep concealed. Until a lone woman who refuses to be intimidated by him threatens his very existence.
Now his survival, and ours, hinges on hers and old enemies reawaken and unite to kill them both.
War has never been more deadly... or more fun.

OMG! Where do I start with this review. There were so many things about this book that was just truly amazing. Let me first say that this is the only book in the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon that I have read, but as you guys may know, I love her Chronicles of Nick series and was curious to find out more about Acheron since he appears in that series so often. And boy oh boy, how I did not suspect all of what I do know. I can't remember though, is Nick from Chronicles of Nick the Nick in this book?!

Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake

Girl of Nightmares
(Anna, #2)
by Kendare Blake
Released |August 7th 2012 by Tor Teen|
Edition |Hardback, 336 pages|
Source |For Review - Tor Teen|
It's been months since the ghost of Anna Korlov opened a door to Hell in her basement and disappeared into it, but ghost-hunter Cas Lowood can't move on. His friends remind him that Anna sacrificed herself so that Cas could live--not walk around half dead. He knows they're right, but in Cas's eyes, no living girl he meets can compare to the dead girl he fell in love with. Now he's seeing Anna everywhere: sometimes when he's asleep and sometimes in waking nightmares. But something is very wrong...these aren't just daydreams. Anna seems tortured, torn apart in new and ever more gruesome ways every time she appears.Cas doesn't know what happened to Anna when she disappeared into Hell, but he knows she doesn't deserve whatever is happening to her now. Anna saved Cas more than once, and it's time for him to return the favor.

Girl of Nightmares has been one of my top releases to read for 2012! Anna Dressed in Blood was amazing and Girl of Nightmares just as AMAZING :) Seriously!!! I could NOT put this book down. It was just that good. I devoured it :) I would have finished it in a day, but me being me...I had to stop reading it at night because I'm just that kind of easily creeped out and scared kind of girl lol o_O

Musing Monday (8/6)

What attracts you to a book blog? What puts you off in a book blog? Do you share personal stuff on your book blog?
Hosted by: Should Be Reading

The first thing that attracts me to a book blog is the overall color scheme of the blog and all that good stuff. Something about that visual affect draws me in. And the next is the content. What you put on your blog and the reviews. I like seeing blogs that have tons of bookish things. Pictures the most, because pictures draws my eye. I like a whole lot of uniqueness :)

Things that put me off about a book blog is first off when things are all out of whack. If there's too much going on then it's hard for me to focus on one particular thing at a time. I guess you can say I like a little bit of organization when it comes to a blog. That's pretty much it.

Sometimes I share personal stuff on my blog, but I don't think I have lately. So, maybe that will come up more in the future. I don't have a problem sharing personal stuff though. So yeah....

Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Every Other Day
by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Released |December 27th 2011 by Egmont USA|
Edition |Ebook|

Every other day, Kali D'Angelo is a normal sixteen-year-old girl. She goes to public high school. She attends pep rallies. She's human.
And then every day in between . . .She's something else entirely.
Though she still looks like herself, every twenty-four hours predatory instincts take over and Kali becomes a feared demon-hunter with the undeniable urge to hunt, trap, and kill zombies, hellhounds, and other supernatural creatures. Kali has no idea why she is the way she is, but she gives in to instinct anyway. Even though the government considers it environmental terrorism.
When Kali notices a mark on the lower back of a popular girl at school, she knows instantly that the girl is marked for death by one of these creatures. Kali has twenty-four hours to save her and, unfortunately, she'll have to do it as a human. With the help of a few new friends, Kali takes a risk that her human body might not survive. . .and learns the secrets of her mysterious condition in the process.

At first I didn't know how to feel about this book because I have read mixed reviews about this book! It was a little weird, I must admit, but I found that I really enjoyed the book :) It was different, but kept me intrigued.

Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Delirium
(Delirium, #1)
by Lauren Oliver
Released |February 1st 2011 by HarperTeen|
Edition |Paperback|
Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.
But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

I don't know how to feel about this book. I liked it, but I didn't. I liked the whole concept with the way the book twisted everything we believe in about love into something so evil and infectious and wrong. But then there was also things that I like about it that kept me flipping the pages!

Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Half-Blood
(Covenant, #1)
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Released |October 13th 2011 by Spencer Hill Press|
Edition |Ebook|
The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi-pure-bloods-have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals-well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden. Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

I love reading new series that makes me fall in love with them. It just does something to my soul! :D I also have found a new favorite author! Jennifer L. Armentrout, you are amazing! You have given me Daemon (Lux series) and now Aiden...Omg, I'm in swoon mode right now.

July Wrap Up

Hey everyone :)
Here with the monthly wrap up for July.
I read 12 books this month!
So here they are.

Review Books Read

  • The Goddess Legacy by Aimee Carter - Netgally (4.5 stars) - I this was a great addition to the series and all the short stories in this book really made one big story with a bigger picture. I loved reading the different stories (except Persephone) I couldn't stand her. But overall, it was great!
  • Intangible by J. Meyers - Received from author (4.5 stars) - I loved this book and the whole concept with twin. It was a fast paced story that was really amazing and left you wanting more. Would you want to be a Healer or a Seer? I also have an Author Interview with J. Meyers, listed in the interview section.
  • What Kills Me by Wynne Channing - Received from author (5 stars) - I loved this book! It was so fast paced, but fill with tons of action and romance and also suspense. And the idea of falling into a well filled with the blood of  ancient vampires and then turning into a vamp because of it...Awesome!
  • The Rise of Nine by Pittacus Lore - Edelweiss (4.5 stars) - I can't wait for the next book in the series, which I BELIEVE is the finally book :) This story was amazing and it added to the wonderfulness of this series and the reason why we love those numbered aliens!
  • Florence by Ciye Cho - Received from author (4 stars) - This book really surprised me. I haven't read too many mer books, but I find that I am becoming curious about the genre. I like how in this books the mers were different colors. I liked this book because it was suspenseful and it also had some great romance :)
  • The Kill Order by James Dashner - Netgalley (4 stars) - This book was great. I didn't even know there was going to be a prequel until I seen it in someone's haul video 2 weeks ago. I loved the Maze Runner trilogy and reading this book you really get to  see how everything got started. (from the sun flares to The Flare to Thomas) :) But there were some faults in the book that you can see in the full review.
