No one is like Daemon Black.
When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.
But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.
After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.
Together we’re stronger... and they know it.
I really just don't know if I can put into words my feelings for this book. I just don't know. My feelings are too out of control. Everything was fine up until that ending. That ending was a What The Fuck?! Excuse the language, but seriously, WTF?! It's like, I knew something like that was going to happen. I had already guessed it pretty much, but I just didn't know how things would go down. I'm just speechless and pissed.

Like I said before, everything was fine until the ending. I was enjoying the book. Katy and Daemon were getting along and the romance was heating up. Literally! :) So many good things happened between the two. I was loving every minute of being with Katy and Daemon. I think this installment shows Daemon's true feelings the most. DAEMON! I just had to get that out.

In this installment, you also see a different side to many of the characters, Dee in specific. I really missed the old Dee in this book. That bubbly personality we are so use to seeing wasn't there. It kind of took away from the book a little bit since that's what I'm use to seeing.

But just like any other book in this fantastic series, it was filled with tons of action!

But anyways, back to that damn ending. Ugh! Seriously, I'm just so pissed the book ended like that. So PISSED! I swear I'm so pissed it makes me not want to like the book. I just KNEW something like that was going to happen. And that idiot! He's just so despicable! I wanted to reach through the book and choke him to death because of his selfishness. And Katy's so hardheaded. She needs to really quit trying to be brave. Just a little side note because that irks me. I really need the next book in this series asap or I'm going to snap and die a slow death...Oh, by the way, I finished this in a day :) lol

  1. Haha, I haven't been able to put my thoughts on this series into words yet. I don't think I'm going to do reviews on them because they'd be total gushy messes.

I am dyyyyyyyyyying to read the next one. July is too far away *cries*

    1. I 'try' not to make my reviews on this series too gushy :) I have my moments, but I completely understand lol I can't wait for the next one either! I'll try my best not to hyperventilate in the meantime.

  3. I felt the same way! This book was soooo good, but with the way it ends...I wish I would have waited to read it until the day before Origin comes out! That ending! OMG I was freaking out. Opal is definitely my favorite book in the series so far, but since the last two books are from both Katy AND Daemon's POV, I might just change my mind. Daemon=swoon! Lol
