Livy Kowalski has no time for idiots. When you shapeshift into a honey badger, getting through life’s irritants is a finely honed skill. Until she gets stuck housing her nutso cousin and dealing with her dad’s untimely and unexplained demise.
That’s where Vic Barinov comes in—or his house does. Vic can’t step outside without coming back to find Livy devouring his honey stash and getting the TV remote sticky. It gets his animal instincts all riled up. But he’ll have to woo her at high speed: all hell is breaking loose, and Livy is leading the charge…
Being back in the work of the Pride series is always awesome and I always look forward to reading each and every book. I've enjoyed them all! And this one did not disappoint. Well, I was hoping for Livy and Reece, but Livy and Vic was absolutely fine :) Like all the other book in the series, Bite Me did not fail at the entertainment. I had many 'laugh out loud' (literally) moments and was entertained throughout the entire book. This book was action packed and full of fantastic romance. I always seems to enjoy the romance in this book because they're feisty, but sweet. It's never boring! If you like shifter books and are looking for something entertaining with action and romance, I definitely recommend this series :)

Livy is a feisty honey badger shifter that never fails to make me laugh. The chick is seriously insane, but I loved her! I've been looking forward to her story since she was first introduced in this series. Usually we see Livy as a loner who keeps her distance from everyone and has a snappy attitude, but in Bite Me you get to see a side to her that has never really been seen before. She seemed a bit lost and uninspired with her photography career. Slowly with the help of Vic, she starts to get back into things. Vic was awesome. He's a bear and tiger hybrid shifter and he's almost the complete opposite of Livy. Livy is the crazy one while he is the calm one. Those moments between him and Novikov were hilarious though!

The action and the mystery in this book was great and kept me wanting to know more. The hunt for the criminal they've been looking for for years and all the conning an scheming kept me flipping the pages. I wanted to know who killed Livy's dad and the shifter and human task forces were covering up the whereabouts of  their most dangerous criminal. Overall, the story was amazing and I definitely hope there are more books to come :)

  1. 'em eyeeeees!!! So glad this managed to make you "lol" heh. This book, based on the cover, doesn't scream romance or action, but I do love the premise and yay for a fantastic romance in addition to great plot. I'm glad you enjoyed both of th main characters:)

    1. Oh there was tons of romance and the action was pretty good as well, but I do think the characters are what make this series so great :)

  3. I know of only one other honey badger shifter in lit and he, too, is hilarious. I have to read this book, if only for that reason.
It sounds lovely, thank you, Janina.

  6. This cover is totally different, I didn't expect that! Glad the story inside is just as good, shifter stories are ones that I haven't read much of (unless they are werewolves mostly). But shifting between a bear and the tiger, wow that sounds crazy. Lovely review Janine!
