I’ve battled the Reapers of Chaos before–and survived. But this time I have a Bad, Bad Feeling it’s going to be a fight to the death … most likely mine.
Yeah, I’ve got my psychometry magic, my talking sword, Vic–and even the most dangerous Spartan on campus at my side, in Logan freaking Quinn, but I’m no match for Loki, the evil Norse god of chaos. I may be Nike’s Champion, but at heart, I’m still just Gwen Frost, that weird Gypsy girl everyone at school loves to gossip about.
Then someone I love is put in more danger than ever before, and something inside me snaps. This time, Loki and his Reapers are going down for good … or I am.
I have been into this series from the very first book and now at the end of book six I am really sad to see the series end. Killer Frost was a fast paced ride just like all the other books in the series and as a final book, it did not disappoint! I enjoyed Killer Frost and was happy to reconnect with the characters one last time and be to be in the world of the mythos academy. As a whole, this series was easy for me to dive into. I love mythology and even though I didn't know anything about Norse mythology, I still managed to enjoy the series. I'd definitely recommend this series if you're looking for something light, fun, and fast paced. The romance of the book is pretty good as well. I've really enjoyed it! But anyways, on to the review :)

Each character in this book brings something exciting to the table. I honestly enjoy each and everyone of the characters in the book from the main to the side to the talking swords! Gwen has always been a favorite of mine. I love her attitude and her determination, but even with all of that, we still see her weak side. We see how she sometimes struggles with being a champion and with not knowing exactly what to do, but she still manages to figure something out. Sometimes she can be a tad bit of a nuisance, always wanting to jump straight into things without fully evaluating the situation. She did that in this book and it did kind of irk me, but not too much :) Logan will always be amazing! With his attitude and confidence along side Gwen, they make an awesome team. I've loved their relationship from the very beginning. And am I the only one who loves Vic, Gwen's talking sword? I swear he makes the book!

The romance in this book was good. You don't really see that much of it in some parts, but that's not completely a bad thing and the action was amazing! This series never fails in the action department. It really keeps you engrossed in the story to see what happens next because things always happen so fast. Overall, I loved the book and thought it was an awesome end to the series. I didn't have any unanswered questions. I'm just sad to see the series end!

  1. Yeah, these books are indeed fast paced:) Gwen reminds me of Rose Hathaway with her implusive action radar :D these two always act first and think later :D but I do love the romance throughout the series and I can't wait to see what book 3 has in store for me. I'm so happy you enjoyed the final installment:)

  2. I'm actually kind of glad there's only 6, some of these UF books go on forever! Glad to hear it was still decent by the end of the series. I miss reading adult fantasy books, I think I might pick some up this year.

  3. I still haven't started this series and I really want to. It's simply whenever I see that a series has more than 3 books I cannot make myself to read it. I'm glad you enjoyed the final one and it's always hard to let characters go. Great review, Janina :)

    1. I'm like that as well. I have series that I want to read, but they have like 8 books and I'm so far behind!

  5. I teared up a little bit. Mythos Academy's one of my very first and favorite YA series and it was hard watching the end unravel. Gonna miss Gwen, Logan, Daphne, Carson, Oliver and everyone else. I love this series to pieces!
