Wishlist Wednesday (1): Deity by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.
Hosted by: Pen to Paper
"History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time. "Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday--to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden.
If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training"--which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.
But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed.
Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...

I chose Deity because I love Jennifer L. Armentrout's writing style and I adore this series :) This and the Lux series is amazing!!! I can't wait to find out what happens in Deity because Pure was awesome and left off in a place where I need to find out what happens next. I highly recommend this series.

  1. Illuminate (Gilded Wings, #1) by Aimee Agresti. I've wanted that book ever since I first saw the cover :) Unfortunately, the closest Barnes and Noble is 1 & 1/2 hrs away and everytime I order books online I have such a huge (and expensive) pile of books that I need to get so I can continue a series that I can't add it in. I'd buy it on my kindle, but I love that cover so I'm stuck for now. Maybe I'll ask my hubby for it for Christmas :)

  2. It looks like a good series. And if the writing is anything like Obsidian then I think I will love it.
