In the small college town of Morganville, vampires and humans lived in (relative) peace-until all the rules got rewritten when the evil vampire Bishop arrived, looking for the lost book of vampire secrets. He's kept a death grip on the town ever since. Now an underground resistance is brewing, and in order to contain it, Bishop must go to even greater lengths. He vows to obliterate the town and all its inhabitants-the living and the undead. Claire Danvers and her friends are the only ones who stand in his way. But even if they defeat Bishop, will the vampires ever be content to go back to the old rules, after having such a taste of power?
This installment in the Morganville Vampire series was a wild ride. Many things happened throughout the book that made me want to continue on. Claire and the rest of her friends and the vamps of Morganville are still trying to figure out a way to get rid of Bishop. They never know who to trust! I think the wild and crazy characters are what make this series so exciting. I've come to bond with each of them in their own way because each character adds something different to the story from their personalities. I like Claire a lot. She's really brave, but I find that she can be really gullible at times. Eve and Shane's attitude is what make me like them :) Michael brings that big brother vibe to balance things out. But it's not just the main four characters. I also like Oliver, for some odd reason, and Mernin, who is usually two steps away from being psychotic! I was so excited for Claire and Shane in this book. It was a long time coming :)

In the college town of Morganville, vampires and humans coexist in (relatively) bloodless harmony. Then comes Bishop, the master vampire who threatens to abolish all order, revive the forces of the evil dead, and let chaos rule. But Bishop isn't the only threat.
Violent black cyclone clouds hover, promising a storm of devastating proportions as student Claire Danvers and her friends prepare to defend Morganville against elements both natural and unnatural.

I think I've been away from this series way to long and was as invested in the stories like I was the other books. Listening to the audio was easy for me and I like the flow of things, but I kind of forgot some of the things from previous books. As the book continued, I started remembering more and more. I still like the world of Morganville and the characters, but I need to get back into the flow of the stories. I really like how these books are so fast paced and they always have tons of action within them that makes you fly threw the books. Lord of Misrule did not disappoint in that aspect. I honestly think I didn't enjoy this as much because of myself and not reading the books close enough together. Its been awhile since I've read book 4 and just didn't understand the story enough in the beginning because each books picks up where the last left off.

The wait is over. dig into the feast...
In the town of Morganville, vampires and humans live in relative peace. Student Claire Danvers has never been convinced, though, especially with the arrival of Mr. Bishop, an ancient, old-school vampire who cares nothing about harmony. What he wants from the town's living and its dead is unthinkably sinister. It's only at a formal ball, attended by vampires and their human dates, that Claire realizes the elaborately evil trap he's set for Morganville.

Hands down, a new favorite series! I don't know why it took me so long to start this series. It's freaking amazing! I love everything about and I definitely, definitely recommend this series especially to those who love vamps. Not even vamps, just a good faced paced story with tons of action! PAGE TURNER :)

Morganville is such a nice place to live... And die. If you don’t mind that sort of thing.
When Claire Danvers learnt that her college town was run by vampires, she did what any intelligent, self-preserving student would do: she applied for a transfer and stocked up on garlic. The transfer is no longer an option, but that garlic may come in handy.
Now Claire has pledged herself to Amelie, the most powerful vampire in town. The protection her contract secures does little to reassure her friends. All of a sudden, people are turning up dead, a stalker resurfaces from Claire’s past, and an ancient bloodsucker extends a chilling invitation for private lessons in his secluded home.

This is the third installment in the Morganville Vampire series and this series does nothing but get better and better. Each story is filled with adventure and action that keeps you wanting to continue to the next book!

The Dead Girls' Dance by Rachel Caine

The Dead Girls' Dance
(Morganville Vampires, #2)
by Rachel Caine
Released |April 3rd 2007 by NAL Jam|
Edition |Ebook|
Claire Danvers has her share of challenges---like being a genius in a school that favors beauty over brains, dealing with the homicidal girls in her dorm, and above all, finding out that her college town is overrun with vampires. On the up side, she has a great roommate (who tends to disappear at sunup) and a new boyfriend named Shane, whose vampire-hunting dad has called in backup: cycle punks who like the idea of killing just about anything.
Now a fraternity is throwing its annual Dead Girls' Dance and---surprise!---Claire and her equally outcast best friend, Eve, have been invited. When they find out why, all hell is going to break loose. Because this time both the living and the dead are coming out---and everybody's hungry for blood.

This series is really surprising me! I will definitely continue this series to see what continues to happens with the four friends; Claire, Eve, Michael, and Shane. This series is fast paced and with lots of action that keeps you entertained page after page!

Glass Houses by Rachel Caine

Glass Houses
(The Morganville Vampires, #1)
by Rachel Caine
Released |October 3rd 2006 by NAL Jam|
Edition |Ebook|
From the author of the popular Weather Warden series comes the debut of an exciting new series set in Morganville, Texas, where you would be well advised to avoid being out after dark.

College freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation. When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don't show many signs of life, but they'll have Claire's back when the town's deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood.

I've heard so much about this series from so many people that I finally decided to give this book a try. And I have to say, I really did enjoy it, but I did not expect to.
