May 2014 Wrap Up/ June 2014 TBR

Hey Everyone,

I hope you guys had an amazing May. May was still a little slow for me, but I'm hoping June is a good month. So far it has been :) Now that May is over I am finished with my college degree. I feel like I've been in school forever and now it's over!

I read four books and for the most part they were all pretty good.

May Wrap Up
Hexed by Michelle Krys - 4 stars - review book - review
The Liberator by Victoria Scott - 4 stars - review
The Warrior by Victoria Scott - 3.5 stars - review book - review
We are the Goldens by Dana Reinhardt - 3.5 stars - review book

June TBR
These are the main books that I want to read for June. I've already read 3 of them (Retribution, Complicit, and City of Heavenly Fire), so more will be read hopefully. I just haven't figured out what they're going to be.

A man's word is his bond. His family is his strength. His heart is his own.
Superstar musician Caden Granger has spent years running from love, commitment and family. Yet despite his fame and fortune, he knows the kind of respect and adoration he needs can only come from one person—the very woman who wants nothing to do with him.
Corporate fund-raiser and society maven Shiloh Timmons finally got her life on track once her relationship with Caden ended, and she's in no hurry to revisit a romance with the man she left standing at the altar.
If Caden can't have Shiloh by his side, all the success in the world will mean nothing. Now he has a chance to renew his promises…but is it too late?
Last year I got the chance to read the first book in this series, A Brother's Honor and really enjoyed it. When I saw A Man's Promise on Netgalley I was excited when I got accepted to review it. This series consist of three brothers, the first book was about the oldest brother, A Man's Promise is about Caden, the middle brother and the next book will about the third brother. But the thing is, you need to read the books in order because the books connect to one another.

A Thousand Pieces of You
(Firebird, #1)
by Claudia Gray
Releases |November 4th 2014 by Harper Teen|
Marguerite Caine’s physicist parents are known for their radical scientific achievements. Their most astonishing invention: the Firebird, which allows users to jump into parallel universes, some vastly altered from our own. But when Marguerite’s father is murdered, the killer—her parent’s handsome and enigmatic assistant Paul—escapes into another dimension before the law can touch him.
Marguerite can’t let the man who destroyed her family go free, and she races after Paul through different universes, where their lives entangle in increasingly familiar ways. With each encounter she begins to question Paul’s guilt—and her own heart. Soon she discovers the truth behind her father’s death is more sinister than she ever could have imagined.
A Thousand Pieces of You explores a reality where we witness the countless other lives we might lead in an amazingly intricate multiverse, and ask whether, amid infinite possibilities, one love can endure.
Why I'm Waiting...
It sounds pretty good and I don't read too many books like this. And I love the cover :)

He is a Legend.
She is a Prodigy.
Who will be Champion?
June and Day have sacrificed so much for the people of the Republic—and each other—and now their country is on the brink of a new existence. June is back in the good graces of the Republic, working within the government’s elite circles as Princeps-Elect, while Day has been assigned a high-level military position.
But neither could have predicted the circumstances that will reunite them: just when a peace treaty is imminent, a plague outbreak causes panic in the Colonies, and war threatens the Republic’s border cities. This new strain of plague is deadlier than ever, and June is the only one who knows the key to her country’s defense. But saving the lives of thousands will mean asking the one she loves to give up everything.
With heart-pounding action and suspense, Marie Lu’s bestselling trilogy draws to a stunning conclusion
Once again, I have ended a trilogy and it is always sad to see them end. Champion was a great ending to this Legend trilogy and it was sort of bittersweet. I loved being back in the world that the author has created and I also love being reunited with the characters one last time to see how things would wrap up. In Champion, there is a deadly virus spreading through the colonies and they're blaming it on the Republic and if the Republic doesn't come up with a cure and fast then they'll have to face yet another war.
