As always, I get really excited going into a new black dagger brotherhood book. I've been with this series for so long, I just freaking love it. I was pleasantly surprised that I liked being back in Wrath's (the blind king) head again. Dark lover was a good book, but Wrath has never been one of my favorite brothers. Zsadist, John Matthews, Vishous, Qhuinn, etc. I mean hello?! But back to the subject at hand, Wrath has always been a tough one and in this book we see him being the a**hole that he typically can be, but we never really saw it directed towards Beth (his mate). That was kind of different. With Beth wanting a baby and Wrath being dead set against it, that started a lot of the drama, and to top it off, the Band of Bastards are still trying to dethrone him. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to what happened. I love the Brotherhood and I'm glad we got to see them all again in this book, except Phury. We don't really see him much anymore.

Lover At Last is finally here and I finished all 591 pages in a day :) I could not wait to get my hands on this book! And let me tell you now that I devoured it. I could not put it down. I had to know what would happen with Qhuinn and Blay. I also loved being back in the world of the BDB because its always a breath of fresh air for me. This book did not disappoint me at all! J.R. Ward is AMAZING! Even though this installment is with two guys (gay romance) I didn't have an issue with it. I didn't think I would since I was excited for the book, but since I've never read a book involving gay romance, this was a relief! Overall, awesome installment! But whose story will be next?! Usually at the end of a bdb book, I know who the next book will be about. MY TOP SERIES...EVER!

This was an amazing inside to the Black Dagger Brotherhood and J.R. Wards thoughts! I absolutely loved it! It made me laugh so hard and reminded me of all those moments of each brother I had when reading their individual stories :)

My Thoughts 

John's character has always attracted me. It was something different about him and it had nothing to do with him being a mute. His character intrigued me from the start of the series, when he was first introduced in book two in the BDB series. And Xhex is bad ass!!!

My Thoughts:
OMG! This is the tenth installment in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Tohrment's story. I absolutely, positively freaking love it :D I did not know how Ward was going to capture Tohr. I will try my best not to give away any spoilers! This review may be a bit long also! I just can't control my thoughts.

Let's start off with Tohr's story... Tohr went through the death of his Shellan (mate) and was devastated. He was basically the living dead. There and breathing, but not connected to world. When Tohr first lost his Shellan, back at in the beginning of the series, I cried for him. I experience his pain as if I was going through it myself.

In the beginning of this book. Tohr is still in love with Wellsie (mate) and can't get over her or her death. Living in false hope that she may magically appear in front of him. You feel for him because of all the torment and torture he put himself through. And then there's No'One. Who also is tortured by her past. She was kidnapped by a Sympath when she was younger. Raped and beaten. And to top it off she got pregnant and couldn't live with what was happening. After she gave birth she killed herself. Tohr saw and experience her death. Then somehow she came back.

Tohr and No'One in the beginning was hard to see. Both so stuck in the past, and not knowing how to deal with the present. I love what they both went through to reach the point they got to in the end. It was a emotional journey for me! So much, even from the first page of the book. But I did not cry! I love Tohr and have always. It was kind of weird though in the beginning considering that's Xhex mother, but I quickly got over that.

But as time went on, he made some changes. Slowly, but surely. He evolved so much as a character in this book! *And I must admit...I'm proud* It took him some time, but you know as your reading this book that if he was to just jump into a romance so quickly, it wouldn't feel right at all! I love the romance, btw!

No'One was a great character to get to know more about. And in this book, it's not just about her and Tohr but you see some of things that transpires  between her and Xhex. Which I liked.

Other notes: Xhex and John go through some things in this book, but I will not say what. Sometimes I felt that it was a bit immature. ALSO, we have a new enemy on the block! What? Waaaaayyy better than the Lessers!

And the ending with Blay and Qhuinn! OMFG! And Lassiter, you got to love him :)

Overall, amazing! One of my faves in the series :)

My Review:
I enjoyed Rehv's book. This is book 7 in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. There will be some spoilers in this review. So you are forwarned! I rate this book 4.5 stars!

I have liked Rehvenge from the very beginning, when he was first introduced in the BDB books. The fact that he has a mohawk and violet eyes, come on, how awesome is that!!! His whole demeanor and attitude caught my attention from the start. He's a half sympath and half vamp. Rehv has a lot of things going on with himself. The fact that he is a sympath and has to hide it from the outside world or he will be forced to be imprisoned by the Colony. Rehv also runs a club, sells drugs, and is a pimp! What a combination! He the top dog in the community.

Ehlena. I liked Ehlena, I really did, but I didn't connect with Elena as much as I did with the othe Shellans. I don't why, but I just didn't. Elena and Rehv's romance I did enjoy though. It was nice and Ehlena was what he needed. *SPOILER* And then Rehv gets kidnapped. So the whole thing, where they are trying to find him, I enjoyed it.

The whole Rehv and the his half-sister, the sympath queen, was weird and I didn't care for it all. The action in this book was amazing as usual!

Xhex is, of course, amazing! I reallly like her. She is a straight bad ass! I have been wanting her and John to get together since they first mentioned that John liked her! Am I the only one?

Lass and the lessers....A bore. **Big spoiler** The fact that Lash kidnaps Xhex, makes sense, since John and Lash has always had issues with each other.

Overall, this was a fun read after Lover Enshrined. I like Lover Enshrined, but I did not care for it! This book was a great step up.

My Thoughts:
This is the 6th installment of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, which includes Phury and Cormia's story. I have mixed emotions about this book. Sometimes I love it and sometimes I hate it. A lot goes on in this book and its so much to take in! Good and bad. This review will have spoilers, but I will save that section til the end and I will warn you when they are coming up. So if you want to by pass that you can :) This a reread and I have read the whole series. So I might not be able to contain myself.

Phury is one of the Brothers, I must admit, that I didn't care for. I liked him, but I didn't and there was nothing really special that caught my attention. But I did love his caring side. He always put others before himself. No matter what it was or what was going on, that person came first, especially when it came to Zsadist. In my eyes, Phury needed to take care of himself before he could take care of someone else. This book kind of focuses a lot on Phury's drug habit, his struggle to deal with the addiction, and the way it affect the people around him. It was tough to see him go through some of the emotions he went through. But I'm glad with the outcome. I did not care for the whole Phury in love with Bella thing.

Cormia is a Chosen and I really liked her. She wanted to be different and stand out from the other Chosen, because they were all the same. They did the same things, ate the same thing, and she really wanted to branch out from that. And that's what I like about Cormia the most. I also liked that she stood up for herself and what she felt, especially when it came to Phury.

Phury and Cormia's romance was rocky. It was a struggle throughout the entire book. But I did enjoy it. John is probably one of my favorite parts in this book. I really like John :) And I also like Qhuinn and Blay!

The ending of the book with Phury and Cormia made me happy! Now on to the spoilers :) If you didn't enjoy this book I highly suggest you continue the series and if you haven't read this series, you need to!

And the ending with Payne!!!??? Still a shock on how that comes about! I mean just came out of no where.

My Thoughts:
This is the 5th installment in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward. And this book is of Vishous and Jane's story.

I really like Vishous. He is my second favorite BDB and just like Zsadist, Vishous and had a very painful and gruesome past. But the difference is that all of of Vishous pain came from his father. I thought it was terrible and couldn't imagine something like that happening to a male I knew. Vishous is strong, but sometimes self-conscious, which makes me like him a whole lot more. The back story for Vishous was captivating and sad all the same. You get a better insight to him in this book that you don't get to see with the glimpses in the other book. Oh, and Vishous finally meets him mom and boy was that still a surprise. I still don't see the signs from any of the other book, but that main fact. And she had a job for him, which he wasn't feeling.

Jane, Vishous's love interest, is also strong. She's human, but tough, which made the Brotherhood like her an awful lot. They give their respect to people who help out a fellow Brother in need. For instance, with what happened to Phury.

Jane and Vishous's romance is good, but it's not your typical lovey dovey type. Vishous is hardcore, but Jane could handle it. But all the same, I loved their romance. And Butch still cracks me up!
You see a lot of Phury and John in this book also. Of course Phury, because his book is next and I just love John! This next sentence is a ***SPOILER*** ----- John goes through the transition :D finally! But, you learn a bunch of SURPRISING things in this book!!!!!!

Some dislikes:
The ending, ending with the whole Jane's a _______ thing. WTF?
The Primal thing....WTF? Thanks for Phury!
The Scribe Virgen kind of pissed me off in this book.

The Ending:
The ending with Jane...I kind of shed a couple of tears! Vishous's pain tore my heart out! OMG it was a painful moment for me. And I also liked the last couple of pages of the book, with Vishous and the birds :D Aww!

I love this seris and I highly recommend it :) You guys have to check it out!

Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward

Left for dead, he's found by a miracle, and the Brotherhood calls on Marissa to bring him back, though even her love may not be enough to save him.

My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed Butch and Marissa's story. It was different then the other books! So many different elements went on in this book and so many different events. Each book brings something new to the table and you learn more about each of the characters. You learn more about Vishous, considering his story is the next book. And you also see more of John Matthews in this book! We also are introduced to Xhex! Since I have already read this series, I can't wait until I reread the rest of the books.

I have liked Butch since the very first BDB story, Dark Lover! He is sarcastic, touch, and brave. He's been through a lot in his life, but he fit right in the the BDB men. I really appreciated that you learn more of Butch's background in this book. You get to know more about where he came from and why he acts the way he acts. It suck what happened to his sister Janie, but I think his real "human" family treats him horrible and he doesn't deserve it.

Marissa was sweet and the complete opposite of Butch. But as they say, opposites attract. I liked Marissa. And Havers was an asshole! And sometimes Marissa's innocence got on my nerves. Lol I know she's a sweet girl and all, but she knew absolutely nothing about anything romantic or sexual. But I did like her character development as the book progress. She learned to speak up for herself and take a stand and I liked that. Butch and Marissa's romance was nice. He made her feel special.

The action in this book was on point! More than enough and I loved every single moment of it! And I really liked the ending :) I thought it was a sweet tough and you finally get to know what Butch's dad was! Ha, I knew it!

Overall, amazing addition to the BDB series. And I highly recommend this series to everyone as long as you can handle adult scenes.

My Thoughts: 
Let me start off saying that you guys know that I am rereading and review this series :) And Zsadist is still my favorite brother! I am glad I revisited this book and remembering all the little details that I love about him.

There are a lot of different elements going on in this book, besides Zsadist and Bella. You get to see more of John, Phury, and you get to see the power struggle within the Lessening society.

This book starts off with Zsadist pissed at the world more than ever. The issue he is facing with saving Bella drives his anger deeper. Zsadist is such a tormented character. With his horrible past of him being a blood slave to a mistress who abused him in more ways than one, you find yourself sympathizing with him and understanding why he feels the way he does and why he acts the way he acts. But you see an amazing change in him as the book progresses! His struggle with his feelings toward Bella and his feelings towards himself as a person, which I really loved to see. And I also, loved that awkwardness he had when he was around Bella and was clueless of what to do. You don't see that too often.

I really enjoyed Bella as his female counterpart. She was strong. She went through so much in the beginning of this book. She played a major role in Zsadist's change. Bella is his perfect match to me. They balance each other out. And their romance is so adorable at times. Yes, Zsadist could be adorable in my eyes at times :D

One of my favorite quotes is from this book :) - Zsadist to Bella - "I was dead until your found me, though I breathe. I was sightless, though I could see. And then you came...And I was awakened." I just love it!

I shed a few tears in this book ;( My heart went out to Tohr and John! Ugh, that just sucked. But the ending of this book brought my happiness back! Just to cute :) I just really love this series. It's full of romance and action packed. I may make you laugh, cry, or jump for joy. Lol It keeps you entertained and is definitely a page turner!

My Thoughts:
This is the second installment in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, and I highly enjoyed it!
This book had so many emotions running through it, and so much struggle in than the first book. You have Rhage, who has to deal with his inner beast. And then there is Mary with her struggle with fighting Leukemia. It's a really tough thing. And together they have to figure out how to deal with both issues.

I really loved this book! Rhage is hilarious, and a sweetheart. I like him a lot. He was tough and dangerous, but had all the love in the world for Mary. I loved Rhage's character and the growth that he goes through. He went through a major growth in this book! Mary, I like her from the very beginning. She was a strong character, and with her fighting the disease and being introduced to a world she knew nothing about was a double hitter.

Mary and Rhage's romance was so heartfelt. I adored it so. The love they felt for each other was amazing and adorable and sad, all the same. And the book was action packed! So much action in one book! It definitely kept the pages turning, wanting to know what happened next. And the beast! Weird. Lol But it gave an interesting twist to the storyline!

I love how you see more of Zsadist in this book ;) It's like a hint to the next book, considering his story is the third installment. You see a different side to him.
Also, in this book we are introduce to a new character, John Matthews. Can't wait to see how his character comes about!

Overall, this book was amazing! I highly recommend this series. And this story was so...I can't even describe it! Just amazing!

My Thoughts:

But, when a member of the brotherhood is killed leaving his half-breed daughter unaware of his existence and unaware of what she is, Wrath must lead her into a world of the undead and a world of sensuality beyond her wildest dreams.

This is an amazing read! I have read this book and this series over and over and over again. In this book you are introduced to the Black Dagger Brotherhood. They touch on each one of the brothers, but not in dept, only Wrath.

I love the storyline and I love the plot. Just amazing! But be warned, this book is not for people under the age of 18! Even if you are an adult who doesn't like reading sexual parts in a book, then I would say this book is not for you, but if you don't mind sex in a book, then I recommend this book to you because it was amazing!

I really like Wrath and Beth. Wrath is the blind King, but even though he is blind, that doesn't make him less dangerous. To me it makes him tougher. And this book is not centered around his blindness at all, it touches on it once and then that's it. Wrath is a bad ass vamp, with a bad ass attitude and doesn't take crap from nobody. But when he meets Beth, lets just say that attitude didn't make it very far when it came to her. I really liked Beth. I feel she is the perfect person for Wrath. She could calm him when need be and she brings out a side of him that no one else gets to see.

The two, Wrath and Beth, go through so much in this book. From the death of Beth's father and never getting to me him, to Wrath trying to help Beth transition in to their world and his feelings for her.

The other Brothers; Rhage, Zsadist, Vishous, Tohr, and Phury, I like already. You only know a brief amount of each one and it leaves you wanting to know more about them. The brothers who caught my attention, was Zsadist and Vishous. You will just have to see.

Butch played a big role in this book and I really like him. He was a hard ass and sarcastic. But when he meets Marissa, I loved it. And Marissa, what a sweet girl.

The Lessers, a being who use to be human but traded their souls and try to eliminate the Brotherhood. The Lessers are some dangerous scary thing. *shivers* I'm not going to touch on them much.

This book was filled with a lot of action, a lot of drama, and a lot of cursing! This is a must read people! Only if you can handle it. Are you up for the challenge? If you want to explore the adult paranormal genre, how about you start here. :)
