It should be the best time of half-vampire Cat Crawfield’s life. With her undead lover Bones at her side, she’s successfully protected mortals from the rogue undead. But though Cat’s worn disguise after disguise to keep her true identity a secret from the brazen bloodsuckers, her cover’s finally been blown, placing her in terrible danger.I really enjoyed this installment in the Night Huntress series. But I do think this installment was a tad bit slower than the others. The other books were really fast paced page after page. I am still loving Cat and Bone's relationship, of course, and I was so glad to finally see Vlad :) Since I read Once Burned before reading this series, I already knew who he was and I loved him. That whole demeanor of his... The only thing I really didn't enjoy about this book was Tate. Omg, he was quite annoying and I just couldn't deal. I feel as though he needs to just get over his feelings for Cat because it just ain't happening. It's kind of like a waste of page space. Overall, I enjoyed the book. It still had great action and awesome romance and I can't wait to continue on with the series! :)
As if that wasn’t enough, a woman from Bones’s past is determined to bury him once and for all. Caught in the crosshairs of a vengeful vamp, yet determined to help Bones stop a lethal magic from being unleashed, Cat’s about to learn the true meaning of bad blood. And the tricks she’s learned as a special agent won’t help her. She will need to fully embrace her vampire instincts in order to save herself—and Bones—from a fate worse than the grave.

Her deadly dreams leave her in grave dangerAnother installment down in the Night Huntress series :) Of course, we are back with the lovely Cat and Bones. I just adore their relationship, but in this book they both pissed me off for awhile. Those two really no how to go at it. Cat with her insecurities and Bones with his nonchalant attitude when he's hiding something. And definitely knows how to keep you guessing. I really enjoyed this installment. There was a lot of different elements and twists happening that kept my mind in a frenzy.
Since half-vampire Cat Crawfield and her undead lover Bones met six years ago, they've fought against the rogue undead, battled a vengeful Master vampire, and pledged their devotion with a blood bond. Now it's time for a vacation. But their hopes for a perfect Paris holiday are dashed when Cat awakes one night in terror. She's having visions of a vampire named Gregor who's more powerful than Bones and has ties to her past that even Cat herself didn't know about.
Gregor believes Cat is his and he won't stop until he has her. As the battle begins between the vamp who haunts her nightmares and the one who holds her heart, only Cat can break Gregor's hold over her. She'll need all the power she can summon in order to bring down the baddest bloodsucker she's ever faced . . . even if getting that power will result in an early grave.
I don't know what it is about these books, but I always devour them about about a day or so! Once again, I enjoyed seeing the rest of the vampire crew around: Vlad, Ian, Spade :) I love those guys! I really liked the whole idea of the Dreamsnatcher. It was amazing to see how it came into play in the story, even though the guy was quite an annoying maniac. The thing I love most is Jeaniene Frost's writing style. It really draws you into the book and the characters and leave you wanting more and more. I can't wait to start the next book in the series!
I haven't read any of these series but I'm happy you enjoy them. Maybe I'll give them a try. Great reviews :)
ReplyDeleteAw, sorry Grave's End was shorter and you and Tate didn't click. But Cat and Bones sound great in Destined.
