Aurora returns from boot camp to a new assignment, an unwelcome roommate, and the increasingly amorous attentions of a certain vampire hunter.
College is starting, and so is Aurora’s undercover work at a network of swanky parties known as “Tastings” for high rolling vampires who like their blood laced with fine wine. But Aurora’s not the only one on the prowl. An underground investigation is under way to find out who killed one of Anchorage’s most prominent vampires… and Aurora is a prime suspect.
I've been really excited to read Bad Blood ever since I finished Northern Bites. Bad Blood is the third installment in the Aurora Sky Vampire Hunter series and it did not disappoint. The one thing I love about this series is that it is fast paced and exciting. This was a very quick read for me and was disappointed when I reached the last page of the book because I wanted more. I wish the book was thicker so I could be with the characters for just a little bit longer. Overall, I really enjoyed the story and excitement as things started to unravel.

Aurora is a very caring character. She's good at her job, but doesn't like the 'dirty' aspect of it. I like that about her because it makes me connect to her character that much more. I love the relationship that she has with her Mom and her Grandma as well. In this installment Aurora has a lot on her plate to deal with. I won't go into it because I don't want to reveal any spoilers for those that haven't read the previous books, but yeah, I give her all kinds of props. Noel and Valerie are just so hot and cold for me. Sometimes I like them, but then sometimes I don't. *sigh* Those girls drive me absolutely insane. I have no idea what to think of them most of the time. Ever since the last book Noel seems shady and Valerie can be a psycho, a friend and then a psycho again. She has her moments... I'm still on the fence about Fane as well even though I don't want to like him, I still kind of like him. I like Dante too. I think he's hilarious and love his bubbly personality, but I love the brooding kind.

There was a little bit of romance in this book, but I do wish there was a bit more. Who Aurora wants is still kind of a mystery and I honestly don't know who I want her to be with. This was a good read and I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment. Things are really starting to heat up in the series and I can't wait to see how things turn out :)

Book 1 is FREE for the duration of the tour!

  1. I am glad to hear you enjoyed this, Janina! :)

I am guessing there is a love triangle for the book but hey if you still don't know who to root for that's kind of a good thing right?

Aurora sounds like a great character and I'll definitely have to look into this series!

    Great review, Janina!

    1. Both guys are pretty cool, but it's just so hard to choose lol

  2. Great review! This sounds like such a fun and exciting series, and I love that even if it's fast paced there's still a lot of character development and growth. I really need to get started on this series!

    1. I hope you get the chance to read it Giselle! And thanks for hosting the awesome blog tour :)

  3. I've heard so much amazing things about Jefford's books, but have yet to try one myself. I'm so glad you enjoyed this one even though you had problems with the girls. Heh, I'd like to meet this Dante guy :) I hope the next book has a little more romance that will suit more to your taste. Lovely review, Janina :)

    1. I've read like, almost all her books and have enjoyed them all! :) I hope you give them a chance! I have a love hate relationship with the girls, but we learn a little bit more about them in each book.

  4. I have seen this series around and heard some really good things about it too, but I haven't had a chance to read it. So I just grabbed a copy from amazon and we'll see where that goes. I'm so glad you enjoyed this one and I really like the sound of the main character. Great review, Janina :)

  5. Great review, I've heard great things about this series and you always know it was a good book when you were sad about reaching the end! Thanks for the free link, I'm downloading it now :)
