Every Other Day
by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Released |December 27th 2011 by Egmont USA|
Edition |Ebook|

Every other day, Kali D'Angelo is a normal sixteen-year-old girl. She goes to public high school. She attends pep rallies. She's human.
And then every day in between . . .She's something else entirely.
Though she still looks like herself, every twenty-four hours predatory instincts take over and Kali becomes a feared demon-hunter with the undeniable urge to hunt, trap, and kill zombies, hellhounds, and other supernatural creatures. Kali has no idea why she is the way she is, but she gives in to instinct anyway. Even though the government considers it environmental terrorism.
When Kali notices a mark on the lower back of a popular girl at school, she knows instantly that the girl is marked for death by one of these creatures. Kali has twenty-four hours to save her and, unfortunately, she'll have to do it as a human. With the help of a few new friends, Kali takes a risk that her human body might not survive. . .and learns the secrets of her mysterious condition in the process.

At first I didn't know how to feel about this book because I have read mixed reviews about this book! It was a little weird, I must admit, but I found that I really enjoyed the book :) It was different, but kept me intrigued.

The characters in this book weren't you average kind of characters, especially Kali. She was was strong and dangerous on some days, but just your average human girls on some. Every other day she was something complete out of the norm and I thought it was awesome. It took a different on all the different strengths of certain species that I love lol! The whole thing with the thing that was inside her, was weird, but interesting. (I can't for the life of me remember the name of it - something with a C? *shrugs)

I loved the whole story line and it's what really drew me into the story. And I also love the side characters as well, which is an awesome thing. I adored Skylar! She was just a sweetheart that had such a bubbly personally and was so easy going. I'm absolute pissed at that ending involving her. PISSED!!!

I kind of wish there was more with the whole Zev thing because the way the book ended we really didn't know anything about the guy he was in person, just the guy he was when he was talking through Kali's mind. So I was really disappointed about that.

But overall, I really enjoyed the story. If the synopsis interests you, I really think you should give this book a try! :)
