Series Review - The Riley Jenson Guardian Series by Keri Arthur

Synopsis of Book One - Full Moon Rising
A rare hybrid of vampire and werewolf, Riley Jenson and her twin brother, Rhoan, work for Melbourne’s Directorate of Other Races, an organization created to police the supernatural races–and protect humans from their depredations. While Rhoan is an exalted guardian, a.k.a. assassin, Riley is merely an office worker–until her brother goes missing on one of his missions. The timing couldn’t be worse. More werewolf than vampire, Riley is vulnerable to the moon heat, the weeklong period before the full moon, when her need to mate becomes all-consuming.
Luckily Riley has two willing partners to satisfy her every need. But she will have to control her urges if she’s going to find her brother….Easier said than done as the city pulses with frenzied desire, and Riley is confronted with a very powerful–and delectably naked–vamp who raises her temperature like never before.
In matters carnal, Riley has met her match. But in matters criminal, she must follow her instincts not only to find her brother but to stop an unholy harvest. For someone is doing some shifty cloning in an attempt to produce the ultimate warrior–by tapping into the genome of nonhumans like Rhoan. Now Riley knows just how dangerous the world is for her kind–and just how much it needs her.

This is one of my favorite adult series that got me into the whole Paranormal Genre, you beside the Black Dagger Brotherhood series :). Each book has romance, action, and everything wrapped up in one which is why I love it so much.

The characters are awesome! First, Riley is a kick ass character and doesn't take crap from anyone. That's what drew me into her story in the first place. There's nothing like a bad ass female lead :) Riley and her twin brother Rhoan are vamp and werewolf hybrids. AWESOME! The best of both worlds lol They have characteristics of each. And the side characters in this book were lovable also!

Anyways, this series was really enjoyable. I really want to reread it, since it's been about 2 or 3 years since I've read it. If you like this genre, I definitely recommend it. The action in this book is to die for. There's never really a dull moment, SOMETHING is always happening. The romance is as steamy as it should be and I really like the missions they go on when they're dealing with the Directorate. Which, by the way, the Directorate is no joke!

I also really enjoyed this series because it's based in Melbourne. I'm from the US, so it's nice to read a book that in based in another country. You learn new things. But anyways, I really think I'm starting to ramble!

I just want to leave you with this note! The character, action, romance, and suspense is amazing! I definitely recommend this series to those who love this genre. And the final book in this series was really...(Thumbs Up) That was a great ending :)
